Fitness Classes:

Strength and Conditioning Basics:

Great class for anyone just starting out on their fitness and health journey. Learn to move well with an emphasis on mobilizing your joints to their full range of motion and allowing your connective tissues and muscles to react to the bones moving. You will learn to recognize habitual gripping and compensating patterns of movement that only serve to stiffen the tissue more. Once you learn how to move well you may want to challenge yourself by adding light weights, bands or you may require props for assistance.

Strength and Conditioning Intervals:

Movements that are timed intervals. Shorter intervals of 30 seconds allows you work hard and then recover and then work hard again for another interval. Recovery intervals are usually the same length as the work interval or maybe less if you need more challenge. Various pieces of equipment may be used. We change movements with every class since the body needs many different movement options to adapt and get stronger. Many movements are simply variations of basic moves. For all levels of fitness since modifications can be given for every movement.

Strength and Conditioning Circuit:

The same type of class as the intervals class but we move from station to station in circuit pattern. For all levels of fitness since modifications can be given for all movements in the circuit.

TRX Suspension Training Circuit Class:

A 45 minute challenging suspension training class. Stability will come from whatever is touching the ground (hands, feet or both) rather than locking the elbow joint or tensing the shoulders and upper and lower back areas. TRX movements can be modified for different levels of fitness.

Springboard and Bosu Ball:

This class uses the Pilates Springboard and the Bosu Ball. If you are not familiar with the Bosu ball it looks like a half ball with a dome and a flat side. It is a great tool which allows you to move in many directions and have the body react to find stability. The Springboard is a board attached to the wall with springs of varying tension attached. Some springs have handles, some have a bar and some have large loops. The springs can be changed to different levels on the board to add or reduce challenge or simply to accommodate different body heights and different types of movements. The Springboard is great for targeting shoulders and hips so they become integrated with the core.

Movement Therapy and Pilates Classes:

Pendotion Movement Therapy:

Pendotion™ Movement Therapy is a series of targeted movements that help your metabolic fluids circulate through your body. Did you know that all the systems in your body are fluids-based? With correct movements, these fluids will deliver vitality and healing to your entire body. The problem is, modern activities don’t promote healthy fluid flow. We bind our feet in shoes, we lock joints for “strength” and we exercise muscles in isolation. Pendotion movements restore the internal flow that your body needs to adapt, grow and renew. Movement becomes medicine.” Charlene Sullivan, Creator, Pendotion Method of movement.

Pilates Fusion:

Pilates type mat class, experiencing gravity in different positions on and off the mat and using various small props or equipment to challenge or support movement and always being mindful of the Pilates principles such as alignment and breath. You will increase your body awareness which is the first step in healthy, lasting change.

Pilates Circuit:

This class will use the Springboard, Bosu and other small Pilates props in a circuit format. You will be doing Pilates movement intervals with each piece of equipment moving through the
